Volunteers will be welcoming attendees, helping with check-in and event logistics, and supporting WCS volunteers in guiding the group along the route. Volunteers will help create a friendly and inclusive environment, engage with attendees throughout the hike, and introduce participants to WCS, our local community, membership opportunities, events, and ways to get involved. This is a great opportunity to connect with fellow climate and sustainability professionals while helping WCS build community and create meaningful connections outdoors.

Candidates must be available to participate in event preparation meetings leading up to the event and be available to support WCS on the day of the event. Volunteers should be comfortable with walking/hiking for approximately 2 miles, spending time outdoors, engaging with attendees, and representing WCS in a friendly and welcoming manner. Volunteers should also be prepared for changing weather conditions and wear appropriate footwear and clothing.

We're looking for 5 volunteers to support the day-of event festivities in partnership with our Planning team! What to expect part of this process:

>Confirmation of volunteer role and responsibilities in ~2-3 weeks

>Kick-off call to get acquainted with day-of logistics and answer any questions

>Build meaningful relationships with the RTR community and event guests

>~20-30 min of pre-event prep with majority of your commitment at the event

>Recognition as a partner at the Switch & Stitch Event on Instagram & LinkedIn

Volunteers must be comfortable being on their feet for 2+ hours!
