The Career Development Committee produces programming to help women expand their networks and develop leadership skills. The committee offers Executive Leadership and Mentorship programs and events that equip our community with effective business skills.
There are three types of roles on the committee:
Co-Chairs, who lead the committee and also serve on the WCS Board of Directors
Vice Chairs, who are dedicated to the committee
Committee Members, who are dedicated to the committee
Commitment
Hours per week
5 hours per week for Co-Chairs and Vice Chairs
Up to 2 hours per week for Committee Members
Ability to attend regular committee meetings
Ability to fulfill on commitments as a team player
Term length
2 years for Co-Chairs
1 year for Vice Chairs and Committee Members
Qualifications - Vice Chairs
At least 5 years of professional experience
Developed communication and leadership skills
Ready to step into a leadership role on a committee
Excellent project management skills
Qualifications - Committee Members

Ability to complete projects in a timely manner while working with a virtual team
